Program for IBM PC or compatible, that enables one to write closed captioning and subtitling for programs recorded on videotape, using a special caption decoder that can communicate with the PC. System requirements are; IBM PC or campatible with monochrome display and 256k RAM, 360k disk drive and asynchronous adapter (serial port); IBM PC DOS 3.1 or higher; word processing program; two videocassette recorders; TV set or audio/video monitor; model DE-132 Character Generator Decoder from EEG Enterprises, 1 Rome St., Farmingdale, NY 11735 ($1450.00). Also requires TV set or monitor be connected to the record VCR so the captions can be seen. PC's serial port and Decoder serial port are connected with data cable. Load CC Jr. and enter word processor. Cursor should be on first line of text; roll tapes. When time is right, press a "hot" key on PC. Captioning begins.
