Moolenaar presents Service Honors to Veteran

On June 19, Congressman John Moolenaar (at right) presented military service medals to Vietnam War veteran Duane Dishong of Vestaburg. The presentation took place at American Legion Post 110 in Mount Pleasant. The honors presented to Dishong were The Army Commendation Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, The Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Service star and 1 Bronze Service star,the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon with Device, and the Expert Badge with Rifle Bar. Congressman Moolenaar praised Dishong for his service to our nation. "I believe courage is given where courage is honored and your patriotic desire to serve has been rewarded with the honors of a grateful nation that can never do enough to pay you back for your service," said Moolenaar.
